Descripción de la Organización

PLATO is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2022 in Évora’s historic center. Its project emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to contemporary research, creation, and experimentation. Situated in an urban area undergoing transformation, Plato presented itself as an invitation for the blending of various artistic practices, emphasizing the urgent need to decentralize contemporary exhibition spaces. In 2025, Plato opened a new space in the vibrant and multicultural Porto. This expansion enabled us to connect with a new community, enhancing the overall art landscape. Plato is committed to acting locally and globally, uniting national and international artists and curators — emerging or established — in a dynamic and ongoing dialogue with diverse audiences. Plato has the support of Direção-Geral das Artes.
