The Nader Latin American Art Museum and its inaugural collection of the most important Modern and Contemporary works from Latin American, the Caribbean and the diaspora will introduce Gary Nader's vision for a dynamic cultural center in United States. This new grand museum will present comprehensive exhibitions of works in all media in a permanent space dedicated to showcasing the global importance of the art of Latin American and the Caribbean. With Gary Nader's private collection of over 1200 works to anchor the programs, the museum will offer innovative exhibitions, music, conferences, films and other projects to bring appreciation to the immense cultural significance of Latin America. The artists represented will include the Masters of the Modern era and the latest creations of a new generation of mid career artists that will demonstrate conclusively that Latin American is, and has been, a major part of a global history of art and that this great cosmopolitan city of Miami is a perfect location to celebrate its significance.
The museum's collection features important pieces from acclaimed masters of art, including: Acosta Leon, Alfonzo, Atchugarry, Bedia, Bermudez, Botero, Bravo, Carreño, Cruz-Diez, De Szyszlo, Di Cavalcanti, Figari, Guayasamin, Kuitca, Lam, Larraz, Matta, Mendive, Milhazes, Morales, Muñiz, Muñoz Vera, Negret, Pelaez, Pettoruti, Ponce de Leon, Portinari, Portocarrero, Rivera, Segui, Soto, Tamayo, Torres Garcia, Zárraga, to name a few.
