Descripción de la Organización

Marion Friedmann Gallery is a London-based itinerant gallery launched in 2011, representing cutting-edge limited edition design of emerging and established designers with specific attention on Mexico and Latin America. Trained in business, interior design and curating, Friedmann has been a design advocate for over 25 years, in functions such as design-art researcher, collector and consultant. Since its launch the gallery has put up some acclaimed shows (e.g. Enlightened Waste’, 2011, `Recollections’ 2012, `Out of the Cage’, 2014, ‘Delicacy’, 2015, ‘Mexico Design Time’, 2018, among others) with pieces ranging from furniture, lighting to objets d`art and sculpture. Following the gallery ́s mission it serves as a platform of exchange between the two continents, with shows overseas as well as in London and Europe, and the particular focus on the promotion of exceptional talent. The gallery’s interest in design is informed by the extraordinary as well as the mythologies of the everyday life; by the exceptional and experimental as well as by a cultural context, where design refers simply to the productive existence of the human being, to space and interaction and to the thingly phenomenons of the everyday designed environment.
