Descripción de la Organización

February 9, 2022 marks the opening of LAGO, an autonomous and independent venue joining architecture, contemporary culture and gastronomy, located in front of Lago Mayor, in the Second Section of the Chapultepec Forest, Mexico City. LAGO is the history of this building; it is a workspace, a cafe, and a conscious restaurant, aware of the origin and processes of its produce. ALGO is a cultural space, with free entry, that seeks to organize exhibitions with other cultural agents to grow from collaboration. Its first exhibition, Form Follows Energy, is a collaboration between OMR and joségarcía ,mx and features more than 45 pieces, some of them monumental in size, by 27 artists from both galleries’ programs. LAGO is a project of regeneration, endorsed by CMR —operator of the Del Lago restaurant building—, promoted in collaboration with OMR, creative director of the space’s cultural arm, called ALGO.
