Collecteurs is the world’s first collective digital museum: The Museum of Private Collections. As an independent, public-benefit museum, our mission is to give the public access to millions of unseen artworks in storage spaces and private homes. Our first-of-its-kind museum harnesses the power of technology to empower art collectors from across the globe and make it effortless for them to digitize, organize, manage and exhibit their collections. Developed at the New Museum’s cultural incubator, Collecteurs collaborates with established curators who select works from our collective museum and create exceptional digital exhibitions. Collecteurs’ Advisory Board consists of Eugenio Re Rebaudengo— with Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo and the founder of ARTUNER, Damian Bradfield—the President of WeTransfer and Johann König—the founder of König Galerie. Jessica and Evrim Oralkan are the founders of Collecteurs. Together, they are passionate art collectors, who recognized the need for a platform in which they could digitize, organize and showcase their collection and connect to like-minded collectors across the globe. The initial idea thus took root and grew into providing the public access to previously unseen, private art collections within the context of a digital museum. In order to provide the art world with the platform it deserved, Jessica and Evrim self-built Collecteurs. Today, Collecteurs is a Public-Benefit Corporation, ensuring the public’s benefit is the utmost priority of their company.
