Descripción de la Organización

Calderón Ruiz is a gallery with an imminent focus on artists from Latin America and the diaspora, a theme which is paramount to the founders Nicole Calderón and Michael Ruiz. The aim of the program is to foster the careers Latinx artists and steer the dialogue surrounding the rich cultural diversity amongst this multifaceted community. The representation of Latinx contemporary art in institutions is still something of a relatively new phenomenon; the gallery seeks to champion a new generation of artists by securing their position in art history through the strategic placement of high quality works throughout the world's premiere museums, institutions and private collections. Collaborating artists have taken part in institutional exhibitions and are the collections of venues such as: PAMM, Miami; Bronx Museum, New York; Santa Barbara Museum of Art, California.
