Zadok Ben-David is a London based, award winning Artist. He was born in Bayhan, Yemen in 1949 and immigrated to Israel in the same year. He graduated in advanced sculpture from St. Martin’s School of Art in London and taught at the same institution from 1977-1982.
Zadok Ben-David has exhibited his installations extensively throughout Europe USA and Asia including, Kenpoku Art Festival, Japan (2016); Israel Museum, Jerusalem (2015); The Art Gallery of Uzbekistan, Tashkent (2015); National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana (2014); Singapore Botanic Gardens presented by Sotheby’s (2013); Tel Aviv Museum (2009-2010). In China at the Guangdong Art Museum, Guangzhou (2007), amongst many others.
In 2008, he was commissioned to make a sculpture for the Beijing Olympics.
Ben-David has participated in Prestigious Biennales worldwide including,Busan Biennale, South Korea (2010); Biennale Cuvee, Austria (2009); “Wonder” Singapore Biennale, Singapore (2008); and the Venice Biennale, Italy (1988). He is the recipient of both the first prize of Biennale international de Arte de Vila Nova de Cerveira, Portugal (2007) as well as the Tel-Aviv Museum sculpture prize (2005).
