Director and chief curator of Blaffer Museum of the University of Houston and research assistant professor. Kamps has been curator of modern and contemporary art at The Menil Collection since 2010. Prior to that he served as senior curator at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston. In may of 2018, was the curator of Spotlight, a curated section of Frieze NY that highlights artwork from 20th century pioneers with a focus on art since the 1960s.
