Founder and president of Drap-Art association, holds a diploma in Translation from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and a Master of Arts in German, English and Spanish Philology from the University of Cologne, Germany. Fundadora y Presidente en Drap Art Association After graduation, she worked for several years as a translator in the world of politics, commerce, publishers and comics. During that period, Grass also dedicated her energies to cultural projects with Accidents Polipoètics, Oscar Abril, and Rosa Pera, amongst others.
In 1995 she co-founded Drap-Art, and since then she has been in charge of its management, curation and the direction of the International Festival of Recycling Art of Catalonia held annually at the Center for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona, adjacent to Barcelona’s Museum of Contemporary Art, Macba, where the works of over 100 artists are on show every year, from all over the world, such as Shilpa Chavan aka Little Shilpa from India, HA Schult, Karsten Bott and Stephanie Senge from Germany, Rustha Luna from Perú, Danilo Marchi and Jacopo Mandich from Italy, Klaus Pichler and Robert Staudinger form Austria, to name just a few. Amongst the Spanish participants highlights are Javier Mariscal, Marcel·lí Antúnez and Cabo San Roque.
Under her guidance Drap-Art has grown from 14 to over a 100 associates, opened its own gallery-shop, and has organised and collaborated in projects in many countries (Montenegro, Israel, Greece, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, China, Japan, Sweden, etc.).
Apart from the festival organisation, from 2011 to 2012 Grass curated the exhibition Drap-Art: Everything Transforms, nothing disappears, which was on show at Art Beijing and the Spanish Institutes in Beijing, Shanghai and Tokio, who sponsored the show.
In 2012 she also curated the travelling exhibition From Waste to Resource. Recovering Sustainable Attitudes, together with 3 other non-profit organisations from Germany, Hungary, France and Italy, with the support of the European Cultural Foundation.
Drap-Art receives support from the Ministry of Culture, Generalitat de Catalunya, Waste Agency of Catalonia, City Hall of Barcelona, the CCCB, the Cultural Forum of Austria, the Goethe Institute, the environmental holding HERA group, etc.
Drap-Art has been awarded the Acció 21 Prize by the local Agenda 21, Premi Caixa Sabadell and Premi Bonart by the art magazine of the same name.
