Communication Curator. Sílvia Escórcio developed in 2014 and continues practical research in Curating Communication (CUCO), an autonomous field of communication specialized in art, which aims to advance the knowledge generated by contemporary art practices and to act in its mediation and promotion in societies. Within the scope of CUCO, she works for cultural associations, galleries, museums, art projects and events, among which are highlighted: Portugal Pavilion 58° Biennale Arte of Venice 2019; Anozero Coimbra Contemporary Art Biennale; Art and its Audiences program for ARCOlisboa; Forum of the Future | Ágora; Hangar Artistic Research Center; Alkantara Festival; Walk&Talk Azores; MACE – Elvas Contemporary Art Museum / António Cachola Collection; and the galleries Francisco Fino, Balcony and Movart. Holds a degree in Advertising and Marketing (ESCS/IPL), is a postgraduate in Communication and Image (IADE), completed the advanced course of Communication Design (Aula do Risco) and attended the Curatorial Studies MA (FBAUL/Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation).
