Santi Carneri es un periodista, fotógrafo, productor de documentales y exposiciones visuales. Vive en Asunción (Paraguay) hace diez años, desde donde ha colaborado con medios de comunicación como The New York Times, El Pais, Univision, Associated Press y BBC, entre otros.
Santi Carneri (La Plata, 1987) is a freelance photographer and videographer currently based in Paraguay, where he has been living for the last ten years and where combines personal long-term projects with editorial and NGO assignments of international clients.
Specialising in social, environmental and human rights issues, he has worked as a reporter, cameraman and photographer for the EFE/EPA (European Press Agency) in Paraguay, Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina and Spain.
As a freelancer he has contributed to The New York Times, The Guardian, BBC, Burn Diary, Fusion, Univision, Roads & Kindoms, and other media from Spain and Europe like Diagonal, El País, Pikara, Periodismo Humano, El Mundo, Tiempo magazine, La Razón and de Volkskrant (Netherlands).
He won the 2015 Peter Benenson Award for human rights journalism from Amnesty International and is a member of the photo colective Everyday Latinamerica.
He holds a degree in Journalism from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain).
Currently based in Asunción (Paraguay) and working also in Bolivia, Argentina and Brasil, I'm available for assignment worldwide.
