I am a visual artist from the Institución Universitaria Bellas Artes y Ciencias de Bolívar (Unibac) of Cartagena Colombia. Having also an emphasis on painting, drawing and  photography. I was born in the sunny and tropical city of the caribbean Cartagena de Indias. From (1994‐ 1997) I lived in Montreal where I took some courses regarding Visual Arts at the UQAM University as well as pursuing a short study of the french language. Later  moved to New York (1997‐2009) where Nature became a central issue in my artwork. Upon arriving in United Arabs Emirates I found myself surrounded by a powerful lightdifferent than the one I have known that capture the attention of my eyes, developing a new sense of perspective, Nature was not longer the same, even though its have been   reflected in my artwork there was an aspect of light in the atmosphere that allows me to incorporate elements of space and time onto my canvas.   My interests during the Art Hub residence was to capture the shades on my paintings,   trying to evoke the ephemeral effects of light in all that I see integrating elements   alluding the memory and history of this land. Today after having completed my Master degree in Art History (2012‐2015) and in   addition to my work as a teacher in the Visuals Arts Program of Unibac since 2013, I have become a researcher interested in the development of contemporary art practices in the city of Cartagena
