Rosemary Marchetta was born in Washington DC, received a BFA from the University of Kansas, and later settled in Mallorca, Spain, where she developed her art practice. She currently lives and works in Miami, FL. Marchetta’s approach to art-making is deeply personal. She finds inspiration by turning her gaze inward to discover ideas that are seeking form within her. The richly layered images that result are constructed realities - familiar, yet unique. This introspective process has led her to develop techniques and a means of expression uniquely her own. She has participated in multiple solo and collective exhibitions and has won several awards for her art.
