Descripción del Artista
After beginning her studies in São Paulo, Renata joined Christian Boltanski’s atelier at the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris, where she finished her masters degree. Using everyday elements that normally tend towards the mundane, her work reflects on the imminence of disappearance and the brutality of impermanence. In exploring the slender space between what we see and what remains unnoticed, Har creates an ambiance of latent instability that tells stories of memory, identity and invisibility. Har’s last solo exhibition, “On different silences”, was held at La Maudite, Paris, in 2014. The artist has also participated in group exhibitions at the 10th Bienal do Recôncavo, Bahia, Brazil in 2011, Wabi Sabi at Mendes Wood gallery, São Paulo, in 2011, and (NON) at Savvy Contemporary, Berlin, in 2013. She also completed artist residencies at Agora, Berlin, in 2012 and at Casa Tomada, São Paulo, in 2013. Her work is represented by L’Atelier-ksr in Berlin and Silvia Cintra+Box 4 in Rio de Janeiro. Har is currently working on her next solo exhibition, “Behold”, which will open in November 2014 at L’Atelier-ksr, as well as on a piece recently acquired by the Mairie de Paris as part of a permanent installation at Les Berges de Seine in Paris.
