Pey-Chwen Lin received her doctorate degree in Creative Arts from the University of Wollongong in Australia. Currently, she is the director of the Digital Art Laboratory and a professor in the Department of Multimedia and Animation Arts at National Taiwan University of Arts. Since 2010, Lin has been advocating for research and exhibitions of digital art in Taiwan. She also published the first digital art book in Taiwan, titled Taiwan Digital Art E-Files. She has served as a judge for various competitions such as Taipei Digital Art Award, K.T. Art Award, Taiwan Art Award, Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival, and AustraliaagIdeas International Design Competition, JAGUAR Asia Tech Art Prize, International juror member for Accelerate@CERN Taiwan, a competition jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), etc. Her work has been exhibited in major art venues and museums all around the world such as Queens Museum in New York, The Globe Museum of Women’s Ignite project in USA, Exit and Via Art Festival in France, WRO Media Art Biennale in Poland, 404 Art Festival in Argentina, Italy and Moscow, Taipei Biennial, Taiwan Biennial, Art Stage Singapore, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts, The Museum of Contemporary Art Taipei, etc. In 2015, Lin and her work were featured in a 40 year edition of Chronicles of Contemporary Taiwanese Art, published by Artist Magazine.
Pey-Chwen Lin has hosted and judged at notable domestic and international events, such as: Judging Panel Member for Australia Melbourne agIdeas International Design Forum, Curator for Taiwanese Topics in Hungary International Animation Festival; Judging Panel Member for Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival, Judge and Seminar Host forNational Palace Museum, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Science, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts Digital Exhibitions, Distinguished Seminar Guest at Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Judge and Seminar Host at Digital Art Festival Taipei; Judging Panel for Da Dun Fine Arts Prize, Judge Panel for KT Creativity Award, Keynote Speaker at Shanghai eArts Festival, as well as speaker and host at several other domestic and international universities’ seminars.
Pey-Chwen has been invited to speak at a number of international academic conferences, lectures, exhibitions, and awards, such as: 4th, 5th, 7th Annual France Enghien Les Bains Digital Art Festal, 'Raising the Temperature' International Exhibition and Seminar in Queens Museum of Art (New York, US), Loughborough University Academic Conference and Forum in England, Taipei and Shanghai 2 Cities' Cultural and Art Exhibition Conference; Xi'an 5th Annual China Cultural Industries Expo; 12th International Exhibition of Scenography and Theatre Architecture Prague Quadrennia; Speaker at 404 International Festival of Art & Technology in Argentina, Speaker at Melbourne agIdeas International Design Conference in Australia.
