My artistic work often relates with the uncommon. It pursues a longing for going out of the daily routine in which we are immersed. Taking the uncommon as a base, I go to concepts such as childhood, the origin of each human being as an individual. It is for me, the purest state of humanity. In childhood we are fragile and empiric beings. In my search for rescuing the fragility and empiricism, I found myself in a warm sensation when I discover in my investigation my personal experiences. Other common concepts in my work are those of alienation and the anomalous. These ideas came to me as a persistent fascination for somehow different living beings; specifically humans. From the alienation and the anomalous I find myself again with the concept of childhood. After this encounter, the research about childhood that I was already carrying and this new fascination intersperse. The means I use in my work, such as drawing, photography, installation, sculpture or art book, I use them as an invitation to the viewer to have an intimate approach with each work, either because of their content, size, material or sound. They invite us for an instant to be abstracted from the everyday world.
