Since 2011, Mario Alberto Llanos Luna has worked as director and co-curator of the independent art space La Usupadora and the artistic residency space Centurión de la Noche located in Puerto Colombia. La Usurpadora provides a platform of visibility to projects and artists that are underway in the region, in turn through research looking for work by artists of the region that were once large references in the national artistic field and that has somehow been forgotten or unknown by new generations of artists from the Caribbean. In 2014 Llanos Luna founded Puerto Colombia Surfboards, located in Puerto Colombia, that joins art and surfing together. He has collaborated with magazines like Terremoto and Agenda Cultural. His blog, El Taladero, reviews local exhibitions.
