Luisa Adelfio has been a working artist since 1984. Primarily a sculptor, she works in a variety of materials including stone, bronze, paper, and glass. Central to her work is an exploration of the place of archetypes and symbols in the creation of cultural memory, and the individual's transcendence across the material to the spiritual world. She is based in Norfolk, VA and Palermo, Italy, and exhibits in the United States, Europe, and South America. Her work is in private collections around the world.
