Descripción del Artista
Nacida en Turín en 1982, Ludovica Carbotta actualmente vive y trabaja en Barcelona. Su práctica se centra en la exploración física del espacio urbano y en como los individuos establecen conexiones con el entorno en el que habitan. Su trabajo combina instalaciones, textos y performance. Su trabajo ha sido presentado en la 58th International Art Exhibition, May You Live in Interesting Times, Bienal de Venecia (2019), comisariada por Ralph Rugoff.

Ludovica es cofundadora del Progetto Diogene, un Programa Internacional de Residencias en el espacio público y The Institute of Things to Come (El Instituto de las Cosas que Vienen), un centro de investigación sobre escenarios futurológicos. Ludovica recibe el premio Ariane de Rothschild Prize, Milan (2011), el Premio Gallarate (2016), International Fellowship Gasworks, London (2016), y una mención especial al Premio ITALIA, MAXXI Museum, Rome (2016). En 2017 es investigadora asociada en la Jan Van Eyck Academie, de Maastricht, en 2018 recibe el New York Prize, de ISCP/Columbia University.’
