Lawrence Corby (Nottingham, UK, 1970 - he lives and works in London) studied at Central St. Martins School of Art & Design (1992) and The Royal College of Art (1995), London. He held his first Solo show In Love with Europe with David Risley at The Zwemmer Gallery in 2001. Further solo exhibitions include Pictures of Things at Whitechapel Project Space (2008) and at Tannery Arts/Drawing Room, London (2009). He was shortlisted for the Jerwood Drawing prize in 2003, and was included in The Whitechapel Gallery s East End Academy in 2004. Recent shows include Between Tender Frames (curated by Paul Housley), Peter Bergman Gallery, Stockholm (2010).
