Descripción del Artista
Juana Gaviria started studying art at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá however received a bachelor of Fine arts and Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design in 2000.
She worked as an architect in several prestigious architecture firms in California before coming to Bogota in 2002 to form a furniture workshop and studio.
Her furniture pieces were widely recognized and her work published in numerous national magazines. After more than a decade of designing she decided to take a sabbatical year and reform an old colonial house in Barichara, Santander that was the cover of AXXIS magazine No 227 (2012). Recently, she returned to Bogotá to pursue a career as an artist.
