Javier Pes is step down as editor of the publication The Art Newspaper the fall of 2017. He joined the company in 2008, was appointed deputy editor in 2009, and became editor in June of 2016. Pes, whose family is Spanish but who was born and brought up in the UK, studied history at Peterhouse College, Cambridge, and then became a curator at the Museum of London, followed by Reading Museums. He went on to edit Museum Practice magazine for the UK Museums Association before joining The Art Newspaper.
