Inês Brites (Coimbra, 1992) lives and works in Lisbon. She did her BA in Painting at Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon and studied at KAS: Conservatorium & School of Arts in Ghent, Belgium. Since 2015, she has participated in various projects and group exhibitions, namely: Dear Image Part II , 3+1 Arte Contemporânea, Lisbon (2020); White Safari Tent — with Aled Simons, G39, Cardiff, UK (2020); Se o Fio Partir, Veremos o Corpo Seguir em Linha Recta — with Tânia Geiroto Marcelino, Ciclo de Amizades — tandem projects in her own studio, Lisbon (2020); O Stand 1.1 — with Sara Mealha, O Stand Project, Lisbon (2020); Reality Check, Las Palmas Project, Lisbon (2019); Feeling Blue, curated by Carolina Quintela, Espaço Real, Lisbon (2019); Aguadilha — with Lea Managil, Ciclo de Amizades, Lisbon (2019); Estrela Decadente #49, curated by Ana Cachola & Xavier Almeida, Desterro, Lisbon (2019); Pausa, curated by Pedro Batista, Esqina Cosmopolitan Lodge, Lisbon (2019); Tu Não Viste Nada, curated by Tiago Baptista, Duplex AIR, Lisbon (2019); Mellifluous Elephant, curated by Francisca Aires Mateus, Casa da Dona Laura, Lisbon (2019); I Will Take The Risk, curated by Carolina Forjaz Trigueiros, Espaço Azan / Tomaz Hipólito Studio, Lisbon (2019); The Dog is Very Confused, curated by Kasia Sobczak, Galeria FOCO, Lisbon (2018). She also took part in the project Bioluminescência by Filipa Matta (2019) for A Peça que Faltava, broadcasted on RTP2. Her work is part of the Norlinda e José Lima Collection, as well as other private collections in Portugal.
