Descripción del Artista

Born at 12th November of 1967. Lives and works in Lisbon and, since 2012 also in Bergen, Norway. Graduated as painter in the fine-arts academy of Lisbon in 1993. Masters degree in communication sciences by the UNL (Lisbon) with a thesis on Design. Currently taking a PhD program in the same institution. Teacher of painting and drawing in the ESAD, Superior School for Arts and Design in Caldas da Rainha (Portugal) from 1995 until 2005, when quitted the post to dedicate himself exclusively to painting and illustration. Working as an illustrator since 1993 with appearance on main portuguese newspapers and magazines (Independente, Publico, Ler, Egoísta, Livros). Works on other media besides painting, as cinema and photography. Wrote and published several studies on art issues. As a Painter he has shown since 2007 his work in Portugal, Spain and Germany.
