Assistant Curator of Latin American Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). Ellen received her Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Southern California in May 2015. She specializes in early modern Spanish painting and prints, but her interests range from religious painting in viceregal New Spain to modern Latin American design. She has recently written about LACMA’s collection of silver by Graziella Laffi.
