Christian Philipp Müller (Biel/Switzerland, 1957) is a conceptual artist based in Berlin, Germany. The list of his exhibitions is long and includes solo-shows at Palais-des- Beaux-Arts, Brussels, 1991/92, Kunstverein Munich 1992, and Kunstmuseum Basel, Museum für Gegenwartskunst, 2007. He represented Austria at the Venice Biennale 1993 (together with Andrea Fraser and Gerwald Rockenschaub). Twice he participated at documenta in Kassel, 1997 and 2012. Müller had many solo-shows at the galleries American Fine Arts, Co. NYC and with Nagel/Draxler in Cologne and Berlin. From 2005 to 2008 he was a member of artist-run gallery Orchard in NYC (together with, among others, Andrea Fraser, Moyra Davey, and Rebecca Quaytman). Most recent shows include 2022 in Milano at gallery Fanta and 2021 in Berlin at gallery Lars Friedrich (with Ricardo Valentim). His work is represented in many relevant collections, such as Kunstmuseum Basel, Museum Ludwig, Cologne, Mumok Vienna, Migros-Museum Zürich, MoCA, Los Angeles, and Reina Sofia, Madrid, and in important private collections.
