Carolina Serrano (Funchal, 1994), lives and works in Cologne, Germany. Carolina Serrano completed a Master's degree in Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon in 2018 and a degree in Sculpture at the same institution in 2015. She also completed postgraduate studies in Art Curatorship at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the New University of Lisbon in 2017. She is represented at Alex Serra Gallery in Cologne and UMA LULIK_ Contemporary Art Gallery in Lisbon. In 2021, the artist had her first solo exhibition in Germany "What words to name" (text by Wilko Austermann) at Alex Serra Gallery in Cologne. Serrano presented two solo exhibitions in 2020: "Between the thumb and the index finger" at UMA LULIK_ Contemporary Art Gallery (Lisbon. text by Alexandre Melo) and Forever about to end at Galeria FOCO (Lisbon. curated by Mattia Tosti).
