My work for some time has been based on resorting to the artistic scene as a structural medium, creating exhibition spaces of museum, gallery and art fairs origin. Within the spaces different artistic media are combined, such as installation, performans, sculpture, painting and floor intervention.
I am behind the idea of forming narratives of the artistic space developing an own artificial geography. Obviously I have no interest in realism, not conventional at least. I would like to generate, rather, an art dystopia or a class b film of the cultural scene. The characters are an important element in the work, they are the protagonists and generate the feeling of discomfort and ridiculousness, from their gestures, postures and looks towards the viewer.
From the execution of the works on canvas and wood, paper bases begin to form with random stains, palettes and excrescences of brushes and spatulas. Then I build meaningless stories by mixing references from the world of cartoons, comics, graphics and painting. Creating an uncontrolled space or dimension, where everything could be allowed.
