Descripción del Artista
Carlos Noronha Feio was born in Portugal. He completed a M.A Fine Art at Middlesex University, London and is currently undertaking an MRes at the University of the Arts London.
His work is in a variety of media, including video and book works, occasionally requiring craftspeople and industrial makers such as in a series of war rugs made in the Arraiolos tradition.
He has exhibited and performed widely in the UK and abroad including the Whitechapel Gallery, London, Colchester Art Centre, Colchester, NCCA-National centre for contemporary art, Moscow, Navicula Artis, Saint Petersburg, Museu Nogueira da Silva, Braga, Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian and Fundação EDP in Lisbon and Centro cultural Helio Oiticica in Rio de Janeiro.
Noronha Feio's solo exhibitions include "Plant Life of the Pacific World" IMT Gallery, London, "Snow wall, will you show me the way to restart it all?" Nogueira da Silva Museum, Braga, in 2010[2] and "A A and away" at Transition Gallery, London, in 2009.[3]
As well as being a practicing artist he is also the co-director of The Mews Project Space in Whitechapel, London, with Mikael Larsson.
