Schittny's elegant wall object series “Tubes" combines ideas of Avant-Garde geometric abstract art, post-war modernism and Op-Art. The special appeal of these pieces lies in their absence of representational content. The "Tubes" have a rational-geometric structure but are equally sensual and overwhelming in their brilliance which changes and shimmers depending on the angle of view and the incidence of light.
