ANDREIA GARCIA (Guimarães, 1985) is an architect, curator researcher and professor of architecture, design and urban scenography. Founder of studio Architectural Affairs, she specializes in disseminating architecture through research, curatorial practice and publishing projects. From 2011 to 2012 Garcia was coordinator of Smaller Cities project at Guimarães 2012 European Capital of Culture. In 2015 she curated the centenary of Theatro Circo de Braga. In 2018 Garcia conceived MAM (Maia Architecture Month), which she has been curating since then. She holds a PhD by the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon (FAUL, 2015) and was awarded the Professor Manuel Tainha Prize, given annually to the best Architecture PhD dissertation. She is Guest Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture of the University of Minho (EAUM), Tutor at Architectural Association (AA) and tenured Professor at the University of Beira Interior (UBI). Since 2016 Andreia Garcia is co-founder a co-curator of Galeria de Arquitetura. Her work has been distinguished world-wide and published in several print and online magazines.
