Descripción del Artista
Adriana Steriopol Vicol’s works are distinguished by the contradiction between the forms of the elements or bodies she represents and the compositional ensemble in which they are integrated. The oversized elements, always drawn using a hybrid* technique, suggest the disquietude of a decomposing matter, the restlessness of the oil colours sometimes emphasised with elements of volume or props. Adriana creates a universe playing with shapes, space and time, her works guiding the visual not only towards a space of matter and motion, but also into a space of eternal time. Oftentimes, her compositions have a motor core which tends to go beyond the third dimension.
In 2016, Adriana Steriopol Vicol graduated from the Faculty of Arts, specialization: Painting, at “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati, Romania. Since 2013, she has participated in group exhibitions together with her colleagues and fellow artists. If you visit one of the artist’s exhibitions and glance from a painting to the next, you start feeling the motion of the real, figurative-abstract or bio-morph forms, in direct relation to the game of lines and colours, while feeling at the same time that the painting has seized your visual space for itself.
