BELIEVERS AND TRUTHSAYERS is a series that seeks to investigate the phenomenon of the growth of evangelical churches in Brazil (which rose from a 5%, in the seventies, to a 22% today) and the close relationship between evangelism and what became known as the ‘new middle-class’ of the country. In contrast with Catholicism, Neopentecostalism talks about the most mundane matters of life (relationship issues, unpaid bills, diseases, business).
