This performative installation explores the interplay between spirituality and technology in a post-sapiens society.
It features puppets, objects and videos from Karla Kracht's previous works such as "Divine Cyborg #17", "o.m.a." and "Ghost in the Wall". Her comic-like figures, some illuminated, others motorized, depict society's underbelly in a theatrical setting.
During her two-month residency, Karla will develop the exhibition with new experiments, stories and characters using sensors, lights, sound, motors, and stop-motion, gradually transforming it into an immersive spectacle. This dynamic environment explores future rituals and mysticism, choreographing lights and effects into a magical, otherworldly world.
Her exploration of the spiritual potential of technology and the future of post-sapiens intelligences is the driving force behind this exhibition. Visitors are transported to a speculative future, where they enter a solemn space of post-human rituals and magic, blurring the lines between the physical and the digital, the past and the future.
Behind-the-scenes materials such as drawings, sketchbooks, videos, and interviews offer deeper insights into Kracht's inspirations, methods, and techniques.
