Press release (21 October)
It is with huge regret that we have to inform about VOLTA's decision to cancel this year’s Miami edition.
VOLTA as a brand is a boutique, curated, engaging experience, and all of these values must be met for it to be a true VOLTA fair. We pride ourselves on our international reach, especially in our stateside events, and the uncertainty of when and whether our loyal exhibitors would be able to travel was too serious to overlook. There were and are still too many covid caused obstacles for us to produce the standard that were are accustom to for our debut VOLTA Miami edition and therefore are cancelling our 2021 premiere this December.
VOLTA returned to Basel last month after a full year delay, and even though the travel climate was truncated, the fair itself was beautiful, the collectors were of quality and serious, and the exhibitors were happy overall.
We will devote the rest of this year to planning in order to bring you, our loyal patron, a fantastic 2022. Further information will follow, and we thank you for your trust and commitment to the VOLTA family.
Sincerely,
Kamiar Maleki
VOLTA will make its debut during Miami Art Week November 30 – December 5 in the heart of Downtown Miami.
Internationally recognized with fairs in Basel, New York City and now Miami, VOLTA fosters galleries in staging both ambitious solo and group presentations, further refining the art fair experience to its essential elements: the artists and their work. Led by VOLTA Fair Director Kamiar Maleki will launch at 1348 N Miami Avenue adjacent to the city’s vibrant Downtown core, as well as fairs such as NADA and Design Miami.
Drawing upon VOLTA’s established, robust exhibitor and collector base, alongside Ramsay Fairs’ experience staging successful fairs globally, we are thrilled to introduce VOLTA to Miami this December. We believe VOLTA’s reputation as an esteemed international art fair and its unique, vibrant energy will make a fantastic impact on the Miami art scene.
