Descripción de la Exposición

The third presentation of the collection on the occasion of the 30th anniversary shows art from 1945 to the present day. The spectrum ranges from classical painting and sculpture to conceptual and object art, from concrete and abstract forms to representational depictions, from recourse to traditional techniques to the use of new media, artistic positions that also reflect the 30-year exhibition history of our museum. Vis-a-vis. Meeting Point Collection invites you to discover these very different forms of artistic expression. Special pairs are presented in the large showrooms of the new building: Works of art that are seemingly quite different and yet enter into conversation with each other through a technique, a formal characteristic or an aesthetic question: A vis-á-vis of art. In the old villa, themed rooms introduce visitors to histories of development, individual artists and special artistic concepts. It is precisely where the object no longer plays a role, but the material speaks, that intensive forms of perception begin: a vis-á-vis with the audience.
