Descripción de la Exposición
Galeria Nara Roesler | São Paulo announces the opening of the exhibition Virá, a solo presentation of Brazilian artist Bruno Dunley showcasing a selection of his most recent paintings and works on paper. The show will reinaugurate the gallery's 2020 program, opening on September 30 by appointment only.
According to Luis Pérez-Oramas:
“Bruno Dunley is a painter: he is an essential protagonist amidst Brazil’s young generation of painters whose work has come to prominence in the beginning of the twenty-first century. His oeuvre’s complexity and richness – its variety and consistency – singularly stands out amongst this century’s emerging artists."
Dunley’s works emphasize these tensions. His most recent pieces offer an abundance of festive circular forms – a signature in Dunley’s oeuvre: achieving the diagrammatic dimension of painting through stains and strokes, rather than through colors and lines.
In October, Galeria Nara Roesler will share a digital publication with photographs of a selection of works produced by the artist between 2018 and 2020, along with new critical content on his practice. The publication will be available on the gallery's digital platforms for online reading and/or free download.
