Descripción de la Exposición ------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- The Fort du Bruissin, the Centre of Contemporary Art of Francheville, presents Vers une hypothèse, an exhibition that explores the narrative potential of the space in resonance with the 12th Lyons Biennial. The curator of the exhibition, Andréa Rodriguez Novoa, has invited contemporary artists to produce in-situ installations or performances, or to present works that experiment with new relationships between space and story-telling. Architecture and literature, while being two distinct disciplines, construct spaces and stories with closely related components. If a 'place' is defined by its history and its identity, a 'non-place' is potentially a space and a story waiting to happen. The story generally goes on to transform spaces into places. It is cultural, economic, social, and sometimes private codes that make places. Today we are witnessing a re-occupation of the space whose story is reactivated in different ways through a specific interpretation of the codes history has handed down to us. The exhibition Vers une hypothèse questions the tacit link between space and story by bringing together the contemporary artists Elena Bajo, Jesús Alberto Benítez, Louise Hervé & Chloé Maillet, Fleur Noguera, Nick Oberthaler, Guillaume Robert and Paola Yacoub within the exhibition. These thoughts are leitmotifs of their artistic approaches, and the pieces presented tend to reach beyond the physical space.
