Descripción de la Exposición

MÓNICA CAPUCHO's third solo exhibition at Carlos Carvalho gallery is comprised by three distinct groups of works organized by formal approaches. Once again, the word creates a balancing effect by challenging the role that image and color texture acquire in the work. The artist makes tautological indications to make the some of the works describe literally what they say they are: “Interconnection of blue sequences”. Others confront the viewer with a supposed objectivity containing the phrases: "Peculiar, Unfaked and Honest Blue" or "Pure, Elegant and Sincere Blue." Seemingly objective and non-referential, the works show a broad display of subtle textures, points of light, brush strokes, and subtle hues that embody in themselves a language that is visible in some cases only with a deeper analysis.
