Descripción de la Exposición
“The weed that adorns the place makes the distracted passer-by forget that, although being beautiful, it does not stop being weed.

In the face of the recently announced investment of 75 million euros for the area Estação-Campanhã, covering the parishes of Campanhã and Bonfim, and with the intention of broadening the view on this other Porto and the Porto that is to come, The Other City exhibition establishes itself as an exercise of prospective reflection about the territory.
To this end, a participatory action is established between three players: a pair of singular architects, interested in the genuine city, that led a “worst tour” around the defined area on February 16; an architect whose relationship with this area of the city was at the origin of his practice as a photographer, who portrays the tour; and an architect, imbued in this place where he was born, grew up and currently has his office, who makes the narration of the tour around the (un)known territory.
In this triangulation, a relationship of interdependence is created in which successive architectural discourses-be they spatial, visual, social, environmental and/or political-condition, counteract and contaminate each other, contributing, when in articulation, to another vision about the same city, presenting diagnoses and speculating about possibilities and/or processes of intervention.
The joint experience results in a common work that exposes, through images and texts, the (other) city.
