Descripción de la Exposición

EYE Filmmuseum in Amsterdam presents a major exhibition on the work of Apichatpong Weerasethakul (1970) and Cao Guimarães (1965). Weerasethakul and Guimarães move freely between cinema and visual art. Starting with the everyday life they encounter around them, they use their exceptionally keen eye to reveal its beauty, colours, rhythms, details, sounds, shapes and scents. "The power of their work lies for the most part in their ability to penetrate deeply into the locale and, at the same time, to imbue it with universal relevance" says curator and director Jaap Culdemond and Sandra den Hamer, CEO of EYE Filmmuseum.
