Descripción de la Exposición
"Stupid Borders" is a group of conceptual projects that questions the idea of “nation” and points at the strange feeling of possession that man exerts towards the Earth, an entity which transcends us in age.
We are living beings, with legs, and legs are for moving. One of man’s fundamental freedoms is that of movement. Nonetheless, while doing so, we find ourselves with borders, boundaries and walls.
If we were to scale a timeline, where every centimeter represents 25 million years and locate the main events like the Big Bang, the origin of the Sun and the birth of the Earth, Homo sapiens would only take 0.04 mm from that line.
Despite the ephemeral nature of our presence, we behave as if the Earth were ours, when in fact we are the ones who belong to Earth. And that act of ownership is the beginning of many problems.
There are three main projects that shape the Stupid Borders project group:
1. Minimal Republics
2. Bureaucracies
3. Iceberg Nations
