Descripción de la Exposición
21.11.2017
The exhibition “Still Cabanon” started last Saturday (November 18th), within the scope of the biennial Anozero’17 – Bienal de Arte Contemporânea de Coimbra.
The architect Carvalho Araújo was invited to join this exhibition, which results from a challenge that was launched to a group of authors from different disciplinary areas such as art, architecture and design. Participants were invited to reflect on “living in the 21st century”, thinking and drawing an intimate shelter for themselves. “Still Cabanon” is a reference to the well-known project “Le Cabanon”, designed in 1952 by Le Corbusier, which remained for history as a reflection on the condensation of the living space, on the polyvalence of space and its uses.
The exhibition can be visited at the Museu Municipal de Coimbra (Edifício do Chiado), from Tuesday to Friday (10am – 6pm) and during the weekend (10am – 1pm / 2pm – 6pm). On December 15th, at 6pm, the catalog of the exhibition will be launched and a conversation will be held with the participants.
