Czech artist Slávka Krátká exhibits her artworks in Port Gallery, Barcelona. "Houses have always been a part of my life and for me they are much more than just buildings. Behind their windows and facades there are endless stories that I project into my paintings." Slávka Krátká was born in 1961. She studied civil engineering - project design and has worked in the field for many years. In addition to her profession, she was also very intensively involved in drawing. After she met her current husband, the academic painter Lubomir Krátký, more than thirty years ago, she began to study the technique of drawing and then painting in more detail with his help. She chose to work with acrylic paints. In her artistic expression, she initially tended mainly towards cubism and abstract art.
