Descripción de la Formación
The silence is always present, when we finish our sentences or when our reading eyes hit that blank part of the page just beneath the ending of a chapter in a book. It is present when we difference one word from another and especially when we want to emphasise something that cannot be said, those things impossibly expressed by words. The silence begins where the language finds its border. But just like in the silent films, the alternatives for language are endless. Every time two people dance, a silent dialogue is born.
In this open workshop Inez Piso will investigate the many ways of listening to the silence in the dance and see what alternatives dance can bring when silence falls on our lips.
Inez Piso is a curator residing between Amsterdam and Istanbul. She studied Art History and holds a MA in History of Contemporary Art and Visual Culture from the Universidad Autónoma Madrid.
