Descripción de la Exposición

Presenting in exhibition for the first time in São Mamede Art Gallery is the artist, Fernando Gaspar, with “Separated Land IV”. This exhibition shows the phase IV of a continuous creative process. Fernando Gaspar was born in 1966 in Aveiro, Portugal; he’s a visual self-taught artist that began his path with drawing and watercolor. Has already participated in more than 50 national and international exhibitions and has won some awards nationally. Through powerful and dramatic colors and contrasts, between black, greys and red, the artist invades the gallery space and it’s impossible not to be disturbed by these exceptional works. In this phase, the artist looks for to build “silence” instead of the “speed” and “turbulence” presented in previous phases, but all the substance that existed before is still present now.
