Descripción de la Exposición ------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- Second Nature is a project that compiles the work of four authors who commune with this ideological itinerary of photography. Rafael Pérez Valdés, Tomás Sánchez, Alejandro Taquechel and Inés White take on different perspectives of natural and urban landscapes without trying to organize them, classify them, or create hierarchies. This creates a series of perspectives or gazes that assume photography as an act of re-reading or an(other) narrative possibility for our immediate surroundings. All the proposals are about, in some way, saving landscape from this state of habit that covers photographic images with constant insignificanceThese four narratives stimulate the gaze of those willing still to interpret the territory of that which is photographed from the perspective of 'the natural'. Their interventions come out of the ideology of landscape, offering new possibilities for representation. Rafael Pérez Valdés, Santa Clara, Cuba, 1960 Lives and works in Costa Rica.
