Descripción de la Exposición

Inicialmente se iba a celebrar en abril de 2020 y se pospuso hasta septiembre, en coincidencia con POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair y la Gallery Weekend in Berlin. From 30 April – 3 May 2020, parallel to the Gallery Weekend, paper positions berlin presents 58 international exhibitors from 14 countries with outstanding artistic positions of contemporary and modern art with the focus on drawings and the medium of paper. The increased demand and the great interest of galleries in the fair can be seen in the considerable increase of international participants. In the impressive atrium of the Deutsche Telekom Hauptstadtrepräsentanz, near the centrally located Gendarmenmarkt, paper positions berlin wants this special genre to be focused on. A presentation opportunity is given to those galleries and their artists dedicated to the subject of drawing and the medium of paper with all its specific features, its fragility and its enormous versatility. The award honors an outstanding contemporary position on the subject of drawing and the medium of paper and includes a special presentation the following year. The first awarded artist was Hell Gette in 2019, who will show new works this year. Especially in the last months, the artist, who weaves symbols of everyday digital life into her fantastic and colourful visual subjects, has received major international attention. The curated special exhibition selected paper positions will also be part of the supporting programme, presenting selected artistic positions on the subject of drawing and the medium of paper. Beyond that, Talking Positions will include exciting discussions and panels.
