A total of 52 galleries from 9 countries will show their most important artistic positions at this year's art fair, which are dedicated to the medium of paper in an outstanding way. Groningen Furthermore, we would like to introduce you to some more artistic highlights of the fair: Malwine Stauss represents the voice of a young artist generation who critically questions social norms through their work. With her own biographical experiences in a patriarchal society she explores the themes of female empowerment and community in her artistic practice. Her expressive watercolours will be on show at Jarmuschek + Partner. You can also look forward to the fine ink drawings on paper by Felix Baxmann, presented by Galerie Martin Mertens. His works are made up of countless tiny weaving patterns and are sometimes applied in several layers so densely that almost textile structures are created. His working process is almost meditative and requires extreme discipline and perseverance. The oeuvre of Lotte Laserstein (1898- 1993) is one of the great rediscoveries of recent years. The painter made a name for herself in the vibrant art scene of the Weimar Republic and is best known for her sensitive and realistic portraits of women in urban settings. Her works will be shown by Dr. Nöth Galerie. As a site-specific wall installation for paper positions berlin the three-dimensional "Boxes" from artist Isabelle Borges will be on display at FeldbuschWiesnerRudolph. The "Boxes" are objects constructed from passe-partout cardboard in different colours, consisting of multiple layers. The outer edges of the individual cubes are completely filled with luminous colours or mirror surfaces. In this way, a luminous poetry is created; a complex play between line, colour, surface and space.
