Descripción de la Exposición

On the occasion of the European month of photography Mario Mauroner Contemporary Art Vienna shows in the groundfloor of the gallery works by the Spanish doyenne within the range of photography and new media: Paloma NAVARES. After exhibitions in the Museum of Modern Art Vienna (1992), the Upper Austrian Landesgalerie (1998) and in the residence gallery in Salzburg (1999) NAVARES proceeds in her second solo exhibition in our gallery in Vienna with her consistent research on the world of women and presents her awareness in fascinating poetical and sensual erotic and at the same time phantasmal, beautiful and delicate images. With topics ranging from ancient times to nowadays. From silent women to those whose voices still echo from the past. From the poorest societies to the most sophisticated: The photographies, installations and light sculptures by NAVARES reflect the different cultures, societies, rites, customs and traditions regarding the world of the women.
